Before choosing the event format, check whether the venue can physically support the simulator. Golf 2U prefers approximately 4.5 m width, 6 m depth and 3.2 m clear height. The surface should be stable and reasonably level, with power nearby and practical equipment access.
2. Decide what the simulator needs to achieve.
A corporate activation, a golf day and a private party need different guest flow. Define whether the goal is competition, casual entertainment, sponsor engagement or course play before deciding how each guest will use the simulator.
3. Match the competition to the guest count.
Large events benefit from short, easy-to-understand formats. “Three drives, longest one counts” moves guests faster than a multi-hole game. Smaller groups can spend longer on each turn.
4. Choose the operating window.
Golf 2U standard enquiries cover 3 to 12 hours. The best duration depends on the event schedule, expected guest numbers and whether the simulator runs continuously or during a specific activation period.
5. Plan for indoor versus outdoor use.
Indoor events remove weather uncertainty. Outdoor events can work well where the ground, shelter and power are suitable, but the weather plan should be discussed before event day.
6. Think about spectators as well as players.
Part of the appeal is watching the shot and following the competition. Keep the swing zone clear while allowing guests to see the screen and leaderboard without crowding the player.
7. Make the rules obvious.
Guests should understand the challenge in seconds. A visible leader and a simple number of attempts create more energy than a complicated scoring system.
